The Super Saver Shuttle "Speaks Military"
AUSTIN, TX - October 27, 2009 - What began as an effort to help soldiers find affordable transportation between the Austin-Bergstrom Airport and
Fort Hood soon evolved into a full-fledged business operation: the Super Saver Shuttle.
After boot camp, soldiers are required to find their own transportation back to Fort Hood, the largest active duty military base in the United
States. Many are on deadlines, and taxis can be costly. "It was not a want for this community," says Renon Hartley, the owner of Super Saver
Shuttle, "it was a need."
The concept behind Super Saver Shuttle was a deeply personal one for Hartley, who has many relatives and close friends that have served the
country. Among them include her husband, who was enlisted for twenty-two-and-a-half years, a son-in-law serving in the Army, another son-in-law
serving in the Air Force, and a daughter currently enlisted in the National Guard.
To launch Super Saver Shuttle, Hartley came out of retirement and moved to Texas. "This is my way of helping soldiers, their families, and the
Austin community," she says.
Since conception, Hartley's passion project has been met with tremendous success. Super Shuttle Saver now offers $12 local shuttles in Killeen,
Harker Heights, and Austin, as well as $60 daily shuttles between the Austin-Bergstrom Airport and Fort Hood.
In an effort to prevent soldiers from drinking and driving, Hartley recently created a new route, the party bus, which transports soldiers to and
from 6th Street, a hot-spot in Austin, TX. "I speak military," says Hartley, who knows exactly how to please her customers. Friendly and
professional service is guaranteed, and snacks and beverages are included in all fares.
Sponsors of Super Shuttle Saver include Quality Inn,
Cove Printing, Convenient Transport, and
M&P Magazine.
